Come on down to Lost Lake Park on Saturday May 19th and celebrate National Safe Boating Week. The Stewardship Program will be providing instruction in water safety, canoeing and kayaking. Canoes and kayaks will be available for use at no charge. There will also be drawings for free life jackets, canoe and kayak training, and river trips. The San Joaquin River Stewardship Program will be sponsoring a workshop to train kayak instructors. The American Canoe Association Instructor Development and Certification Workshop is for those who have kayaking experience and wish to expand their skills and become an instructor.
